today we are going to make soya chunks (soya nuggets) here are the ingredients needed oil for frying + 1 tbsp for preparing the dish 250 grams soya nuggets 4 onions sliced thin 2 capsicum, chopped into medium sized pieces, after removing the seeds & core 2 tbsp arrowroot powder 2 tbsp ginger paste + 2 chopped green chillies grated cloves from 1 bulb garlic 1 tbsp pizza sauce 1 tbsp soya sauce 1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1.
25 tsp salt/to taste 2 tsp cilantro & water as needed keep wok on full heat & add enough water to boil the soya chunks let this come to a boil bubbles have started to form in the water.
add the soya nuggets we will boil them till they turn soft.
once the water starts boiling reduce heat to medium or little less and keep stirring till the nuggets are soft the nuggets have turned soft.
put off the heat & strain out the water wash them well under running water & squeeze out the water thoroughly add oil to kadahi.
keep heat on high & let it get hot.
then add the nuggets fry the soya nuggets in batches till they are fried medium brown keep them aside after frying now add 1 tbsp oil in another or same kadahi or wok after removing the earlier one.
keep heat on high & let the oil heat up when oil is hot reduce heat to low.
add the grated/chopped garlic stir a little and add the grated ginger& green chillies.
stir this for 15-20 seconds add onions now.
keep heat on medium & saute till onions turn translucent, about 2 minutes we just need to make them a little soft.
do not cook them while the onions are getting done add some water in the arrowroot powder & make a lump free solution if you wish to make gravy for the nuggets add more water.
we have added just one bowl water mix well & add 1 tbsp of soya sauce.
stir well & keep aside keep stirring the onions till done onions are done add the capsicum.
stir for about 2 minutes till the capsicum turns a bit soft now add the pizza sauce & stir for about 1/2 a minute add the fried soya nuggets.
reduce heat to low & mix well.
add salt, red chilli powder & coriander powder.
stir thoroughly add 1 tsp cilantro.
stir roast the soya nuggets for 2-3 minutes check the salt & spice & add as required after 3 minutes add the arrowroot & soya sauce water & mix well.
keep heat on high now we will add a little more water about 1/2 a bowl.
when the added water dries up our dish will be done Stir & cover with a lid.
let it cook & keep stirring in between.
check back after 3-4 minutes now the water has dried up.
our dish is ready you can see it is not dry.
keep this consistency.
it should be wet but not watery put off the heat & transfer the dish to a serving bowl garnish with the remaining cilantro.
