Some of my tips for maintaining a strong immune system and not getting sick.

Step one, you want to make sure to eat lots of leafy green vegetables.

Leafy green vegetables are healthy for our lungs and they're healthy for our gut; two of the most important things to keep healthy and not get sick.

A really good way to include lots of leafy green vegetables into your diet is to drink green juice that you can make at home or find a local juicer who makes it.

I recommend making sure that it is organic and it is unpasteurized if possible, to keep all the gut flora happy.

Step two is to eat fermented foods so my favorite fermented foods are sauerkraut and kimchi – so delicious – you can also include miso in your diet or take a probiotic if that's helpful for you.

Seventy percent of our immune system lies in our guts, so we want to make sure to keep our guts happy and healthy so that they can help fight off anything that can make us that sick.

Step 3 in maintaining a strong immune system is to get your body moving.

So any exercise that moves, pumps your blood through your system and get your lungs expanding and breathing deeply helps to purify your body and by doing this on a regular basis, you strengthen your body's own purification process which helps you to fight off any germs or viruses that you come in contact with.
